More than 600 Lower Manhattan hotel guests were flooded out of their rooms. The water started flowing around 4:15 a.m. from a water tank on the roof of a Holiday Inn on Washington Street. In some
areas, water could be seen dripping from the ceiling and pooling up on the floor and even made it all the way down to the lobby of the hotel, CBS2’s Diane Macedo reported. “The whole lobby was
flooded and there was three elevators and it was like raining,” one hotel guest visiting from Texas told. Crews are working to stop the leak. The FDNY said it’s still not clear if it is related
to the cold weather.
