Trump hotels latest card breach victim

It has not been a good week for business mogul and presidential hopeful Donald Trump. First, several big-name partners, including Univision and Macy's, sever ties with Trump over his remarks about Mexicans, then cybersecurity site KrebsonSecurity.com reported Wednesday that the Trump Hotel Collection, a number of luxury hotel and properties tied to Trump, may have been the latest victim of a credit card breach. "Like virtually every other company these days, we have been alerted to potential suspicious credit card activity and are in the midst of a thorough investigation to determine whether it involves any of our properties," Eric Trump, executive vice president of development and acquisitions at The Trump Organization, told CNBC in a statement. "We are committed to safeguarding all guests' personal information and will continue to do so vigilantly," he added. The report, which cited data shared by several U.S.-based banks, added that the breach appears to go back to at least February and could span several hotel locations, including Chicago, Honolulu, Las Vegas, Miami and New York.
