Lego lovers, get ready. Legoland is expanding, adding more than a few new blocks, with an on-site hotel and a Lego friends land. “Everywhere is themed, that's the first thing. Secondly, Lego
everywhere and it's a kids paradise if you're a Lego lover,” Legoland General Manager Adrian Jones said. The 152-room hotel will have a splash play area, family restaurant and a chance to build
with the Lego masters.
“We have our master model builders workshop actually built with in the hotel so your kids can actually book time and spend time with the master model builders learning how to build,” Jones said.
The general manager said one of the special things about this hotel is there going to have at least eight Lego models per room and 2,000 in the entire building. The new friends land, Heartlake
City, will feature a new ride, a show and a character meet and greet. The Legoland general manager also says it's geared toward girls, where Legos have typically been a boy-oriented construction
toy. The hotel will open May 15, 2015 and Heartlake City will launch in the summer of 2015.
