Throwing in the towel is not an option for La Quinta Inns & Suites who successfully achieved its first Guiness World Records achievement in 2012 for the largest Human Mattress Dominoes. All three records were achieved in 90 minutes by attendees who were in Hawaii for the company's annual conference. The records were made official by Guiness World Records adjudicator, Alex Angert who was present at the Waikoloa Bowl during the event.
The more than 2,500 red, white and blue towels used during the event were provided by La Quinta's vendor partner, Standard Textile, Inc. and donated afterwards to Fisher House – Tripler AMC in Honolulu.
